Conflagration of Puffed Sugar

Once upon a time, in the land of cooking dorms, an experiment took place. Because we are not allowed to have fire in our dorms, we tried roasting marshmallows over the stove. It worked quite well! However, I recommend using a butter knife instead of a fork to achieve the most even toast. :)

I have found a new love and its name is ZUMBA!! It is a dance workout and it just makes me so happy!! I have such a big smile on my face while I am dancing to awesome music and therefore, it is my new favorite workout!! Y'all should try it sometime!!

Sleepover!!

We had a sleepover in our dorm as some roommate bonding! We put all of our mattresses in the living room and watched "The Swan Princess" and possibly enjoyed a little jumpage on our mattresses. Fun times!!

Top Secret

Once upon a time Hannah came up with a brilliant idea. We decided to heart attack our FHE Brothers because we love them so much! We set to work coloring and cutting out what seemed like a bajillion hearts. Then, we got them all ready to go and dressed up for some top secret delivering. As it turns out, our FHE Brothers were having "Manrichment" night at a local restaurant so most of them weren't home. This was all fine and dandy, except for the fact that we didn't know when they would get back... We decided to go anyway and I texted one of them to find out their whereabouts and such. As we got to their apartment complex, one of them came out of their door. We booked it. He ended up driving away and their house was left unprotected. We hurried over and started putting up the hearts. Then, my other genius roommate, Katherine, came up with another brilliant idea. Our brothers always leave their door unlocked so we decided to heart attack the INSIDE of their apartment too!! We also did some... rearranging... Needless to say, they claim to be plotting revenge...

Yeah, we're tough. Straight up gangsta. Watch out!

Ok, actually, we were pretty terrified. We were freaking out pretty much the whole time, as you can see from our faces. Yeah...

I know the picture is really blurry, but you can see their couches have taken on a new direction, if you will. It's the hottest new style. Hahahaha

I love our FHE Brothers. We really got the best FHE Family ever. They are so awesome and are always willing to help. I love you guys!!

Once upon a time I have the cabinet in the bathroom above the toilet. I was trying to get something out of my cabinet when my mascara flung out! I tried my hardest to hit it away so it wouldn't land in the toilet, but to no avail. The following pictures were taken by my lovely roommate, Evelyn, who came running in after hearing me scream...

"Bigger and Better"!!

Last night my roommates and I were sitting around talking and we all decided that we were hungry. We were on our way to the kitchen when we heard a knock on our door. Standing outside were a boy and a girl on a date playing a game called "Bigger and Better" and they asked if we had anything bigger or better than a huge bag of "Coco Roos" and bag of freshly popped popcorn. Hannah came to our rescue and gave them 3 English pence and a couple pennies on a lovely poster that Evelyn made! I say it was a very good deal indeed!!

The Truth About Cooking Dorms

Living in a cooking dorm brings a sense of independence to any new freshman here in Rexburg. Along with that independence comes the need for a heightened use of creativity when it comes to cooking dinners. One interesting creation that I came up with so far is that of fried cucumber. I know it sounds gross, but fried zucchini is good, right? I had some unused cucumbers and was trying to be creative and was thinking of cucumber bread or cookies or something else that usually has zucchini, but without baking soda or cinnamon, they wouldn't work so well... That was when I settled with fried cucumber. And you know what? It was actually pretty good!




To make this lovely delicacy, beat some eggs. One egg will probably do for 1/2 a cucmber.

After that, pour some flour into a bowl. (Maybe I should write a cookbook...)

Dip sliced cucmbers into the egg and then into the flour and then fry it in your favorite oil. It helps if you put a little seasoning in the flour for extra pizzaz.
